With this purchase, you will receive a paper copy of this pattern sent to you in the mail with detailed pictures and step by step instructions on how to make your own midsized purse. It includes full pattern pieces and will come in a resealable plastic bag with a vent hole and convenient hanging hole. It is recommended for an advanced beginner who is comfortable sewing zippers.
This bag measures roughly 11″ wide by 7″ tall and 2 1/2″ deep and features a zippered pocket within the fold-over flap (it does NOT go all the way to the bottom of the bag), an adjustable crossbody strap, and 1 interior zipper pocket.
To get started, you will need the following supplies:
¼ yard main fabric
½ yard lining fabric
¼ yard accent fabric
10” x 2” piece of vinyl/cork/leather (for zipper overlay)
1 yard midweight interfacing* (see page 2 for recommendations)
57” of 1½” webbing for strap
20” of #5 zipper by the yard
(2) #5 zipper pulls
(2) 1” d rings or triangle rings
(1) 1½” strap adjuster
(2) 1½” swivel clasps
(1) set invisible or standard thin magnetic snaps
⅛” double-sided tape and/or craft glue stick
Wonder clips or pins
Quilting ruler
Rotary cutter
Removable marking pen
